Bio

John Maclellan signed for the club in April 2010, after a very successful spell with Tain Juniors Football Club in their Under 17 youth ranks.

The tall and imposing striker, having played alongside other fellow Thistle youngsters Ryan Johnston, Andrew Sutherland and Ayah Rattanaphithak, was a big part of the Juniors' SWL Ross-shire league winning side of 2009, partnering Martin Smith up front to score over 30 goals between them.

At only 16, John made his first appearance in a Jags shirt as a trialist starting a North Caledonian league match against Muir of Ord Rovers in April 2010.

On May 1st, now on Welfare business, he debuted as a signed player against Invergordon Social Club before netting his first goal just over two weeks later during the 6-0 drubbing of Dingwall Vertex. Maclellan went on to score 4 goals in his first campaign.
