• Thistle drub Dornoch to kick off pre-season

The Jags kicked off the Cormack era with a thumping 6-1 win at the Meadows yesterday, beating North West Sutherland amateur side Dornoch City. Missing a number of players who are still involved with their North Caledonian FA teams and others just simply absent, a squad of just twelve travelled over the bridge to tackle the Sutherland men, but what they lacked in numbers they made up for in quality as they made easy work of Dornoch.

Among the scorers for Tain Thistle were Liam Rostock, Chippie Mailley, Jack Hudson and Michael Mckenzie. Chesting the ball into his own net, Martyn Farquhar netted an own goal in favour of the home side.
