A rejuvenated Tain Thistle easily disposed of league rivals Sutor Inn, at Recreation Park this evening. Manager Arron Christie returned to the dugout, along with holiday maker Dickie Durrand. Meanwhile, June absentee Garry Perks made a welcome return to the first team.
Perks opened the scoring in the latter stages of an even first half, getting on the end of a classy James Rice back heel. The returning manager pulled a "rabbit out of the hat" switch in the starting line-up, fielding pacey forward Jason Hill for only the second time this season. Having dominated full backs Andy Murray and Kevin Black, Hill grabbed Thistle's second goal early in the second half after a high speed race into the Sutor box.
Not one to be out done, Garry Perks scored again with a mazy run of his own, dribbling the ball calmly round the Sutor defence for Thistle's third and final goal of the evening.
